MPEG is extremely grateful to members of the EBU (the copyright holders) and to the EBU itself for kindly granting permission for MPEG to make available some of the tracks that were previously available on the EBU SQAM disc. These items include some audio tracks that have been found by MPEG to be very revealing in the testing of compression (bit-rate reduction) systems.
The EBU SQAM disc tracks have been converted to RIFF WAVE files (44.1 kHz, 16 bit, stereo).
The basis on which these items are available is that they be used only for the testing and evaluation of sound systems. They are not to be used for any commercial application. Anyone downloading these files from this site is automatically accepting these constraints and any unauthorised use is a breach of the copyright constraints.
