Absolutely - i would appreciate being able to render different parts of the
score at different frequencies anyway eg.
48Khz to process a dat loop at the same time as 44khz for cd. Some control
rates for slow fades can be really coarse whereas others need to be high
eg. ring modulation etc. I would also find it invaluable if it could run
at 25 HZ for Video processing routines.
Would it be possible for SAOL to use multiple threads that could each have
independent sr and kr and possibly communicate betweeen them? There may be
a need for a send and receive ugen or possibly the existing framework of
busses may do. Anyone any thoughts?
On the subject of video control i think many animators would love the ability
to use the realtime event and control metaphor for generating digital art.
I am fascinated by the similarities even down to the DSP routines for
filtering etc. As of yet noone has written the Music V of animation
any one fancy SAOL Video Extension Version 1.0.

The possibilities for integration between the two media is immense.
We in the music world could benefit from their skills in interaction
and they could benefit from our control and compositional
possibilities.
Any thoughts?
Mike Chapman.
