For those who haven't heard, there's a new version of the
software (more robust, with many new features), and a new
version of the ISO draft standard available.
This version of the ISO document is a major milestone in
the ISO process; it's called "committee draft" and is the
point at which technical evolution of the standard ceases.
Everything from this point on is bugfixes.
There's also a new mailing list for people interested in
discussing the use of SAOL to make music; send email
to saol-users-request@media.mit.edu to be added.
I've put some short example orchestras up on the WWW
page; is there anyone out there who's done anything
interesting with the previous version of SAOL yet,
that I could add to the archive and help it grow?
Best to all,
-- Eric
