Forwarding a recent msg from Charlie Steinberg saying vst can be ported to
linux. Thomas, maybe you can do what you wanted to do without a "clean room"
approach ;-)

there is nothing against this, but you must take care about legal and licensing issues. the vst interface itself should be portable with very few or no changes at all, while the vstgui part must obviously be implemented for each platform (however the vstgui is not required to create a vst plug-in). charlie
