What is the VC++ compiler version number (it's a macro)?

Subject: saolc on DevStudio

hi all,
I'm trying to compile 'saolc' with DevStudio 97 and I have some problems
since I receive the following error message:

 " D:\DevStudio\VC\INCLUDE\xutility(45) : error C2678: binary '<' : no
operator defined which takes a left-hand operand of type 'const class
sym_name' (or there is no acceptable conversion) "

It deals with < overloaded operator which is defined in file <xutility>
which is included in <vector> included in sa_bitstream.h where class
'sym_name' is defined. Is there anyone who compiled saolc on DevStudio97 and
had the same problem or similar? Thank you
best,
Claudio
