re the DirectSound mods; sa.c would not compile without adding two
header files:

#include <objbase.h>
#include <initguid.h>

And I had to install my DirectX-7 SDK to build, as previously I just had
version 5. So presumably the changes require aty least DirextX v6?

I have not tried it under Win95 yet; not getting clean output under
Windows2000 though, which uses DirectX 7.
