Hi Richard,
As you say, AudioBIFS is a (very small) part of the MPEG-4
Systems document, ISO 14496-1. Unfortunately, AudioBIFS
related material is scattered throughout rather than collected
in one place in this document.
I think the latest public version of 14496-1 is the Final
Committee Draft; it's available from the MPEG-4 Systems
site at http://garuda.imag.fr/MPEG4/syssite/syspub/index.html.
There are changes from FCD to FDIS, but unfortunately I
don't have a canonical list. If you're planning on
implementing, the FCD will get you 95% of the way there,
and anyway real implementors should always work from
the published spec. I think you can now buy the whole
spec from the ISO.
As well as AudioBIFS, MPEG-4 Systems tells you how to
multiplex and transport MPEG-4 data, including Structured
Audio, in real-time streaming.
Best,
-- Eric
