Hmm, I went back to the original letter you sent to the list, extracted
the 4 files in the example verbatim (SAOL, one-line SASL, and the two
fractal .aif files), and compiled it up with my sfront 0.57 on Linux,
and for the 10 seconds it runs w/o the SASL "end" statements, it produces
many notes in a fractal pattern, not just the one that it did before
the bug. So, either

-- my sfront and your sfront is producing the same C file, but they
are doing different things on the two machines, or

-- for some reason our sfront's are producing different C files. I'll
send email to you off the list with the C program sfront produces for
you to try out, and we'll take it from there ...
