Yes, there are no comments in the SASL language -- I believe the
rationale for this is that SASL is something that will be generated
automatically by other programs, and so its minimal in this way (and
other ways too).

A caveat -- one difference between sfront's and saenc's SASL readers
is that sfront is tolerant of blank lines in SASL files, whereas the
current saenc will silently end SASL parsing upon the first blank line.
Since many of the SASL scores in the sfront examples have blank lines,
its important to edit them out first if you wish to use saenc to encode
them ...
