My understanding is that one is the core opcode and the other one the wavetable
generator. In textual format they have the same "spelling", in binary format they have
not.

A corrigendum has been approved and edited at the last meeting in Pisa. More news
(the ones you ask for :-)) will be available as soon as the formal procedure is finalized
by MPEG, i.e. after the 9th of February.
