Hi nice SAOL people,
Just so you hear it from me first rather than through the
grapevine, I've completed my Ph.D. at the Media Lab and
taken a new position as the lead music industry analyst
at Forrester Research (www.forrester.com). In that
role, I will continue to push for the adoption of advanced
media technology such as Structured Audio in the
broad marketplace. I will also be covering more general
music-industry trends like Napster, MP3, music
subscription services, and so forth.
I'm maintaining a visiting research scientist position
at the Media Lab, and will be devoting a few hours a week
to maintainence of the SA standard and my other
research interests. (I'm halfway through the first draft
of a proposed corrigendum that incorporates all the
helpful comments I've had from implementers.)
