Hi,

The computer music tutorial (MIT Press) , by Curtis Roads, is a very good
book and covers a lot synthesis technics. There is a small section entitled
Drumlike Timbres. It shows how to modify a Karplus-Strong algorithm to
generate drum-like sounds... very simple !
You can also take a look at Hans Mikelson's Csound instrument page at
http://www.werewolf.net/~hljmm/csound/ . He has a drum machine instrument.

Good luck !
