I was wondering about the history of mpeg4-sa, and
saol and sasl. Were they all designed at the same time,
or did mpeg 4 adopt the others. I gather that sfront came
last of all, but perhaps that is not so.
I was thinking how nice it would be if we could initialize
variables at declaration time as is done in C. Maybe even
with the array loading syntax:
ivar foo = 5;
ivar bar[] = {6, 7, 8};
Then maybe we could do away with the startup() instrument
when it is used solely for that purpose.
