Yes, you want SA-FDIS.pdf along with SA_DCOR1.pdf, you
can download both from:

http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/sa/book/append/index.html

these are Appendices I and J on the right-hand side of the page.

Manfred Brockhaus and I tried to track down the remaining
Mac OS9 issues for a few weeks, but didn't succeed in finding
the remainin issues (seemingly concerning MIDI file and WAV
file reading, so I think its either a latent endian-bug or
some sort of incompatibility in stdio.h).

Mac OS X seems to be very compatible with sfront as a file
renderer, and so it may be easier to go that route if
possible, especially when 10.1 comes out next month, which
is supposed to be less sluggish on older hardware.

I'm seriously thinking of writing sfront control and audio
drivers for the OS X audio system (coreaudio), although it
would probably be a few months before the project would
start, since I'd first want to wait until the refreshed
Powerbooks get released, to see if its worth buying one of
those instead of an iBook to do the development on ...
