I do not have anything to add to the current discussion, but I just want to
mention that VC++ 5.0 has by default an old "dsound.h" file in it's
vc\include directory. When I deleted that one (and the compiler chosed the
correct dsound.h in the dx-sdk), I got rid of a lot of stupid error messages.
