Sfront v0.36 8/20/99 release ...

From: John Lazzaro (lazzaro@cs.berkeley.edu)

The new sfront release is available for download:

http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~lazzaro/sa/index.html

        Changes since 0.35:

-- New -ain linux, -aout linux, and -cin linmidi options
support real-time audio input, audio output, and MIDI
input from soundcards. Only tested with a PCI 128 so far.
Haven't measured latency with a scope yet, but for me at
least its "playable".

-- Core opcode rate semantics now match saolc -- Eric and
I found some issues in our compatability tests.

-- The %1$s syntax is now gone from printf's (I think). Note
that a simple grep of the C files will still show lots of
%1$s around, but these are assigned to strings that are then
post-processed.

Note that this release probably won't compile on
Win98 w/o UWIN yet, but from rwd@cableinet.co.uk's recent
post, it sounds like the other issues are relatively simple.
Send along the remaining patches, and I'll try to incorporate
them into the next release in a cross-platform-compatible way,

                                                -jl
